Our Story
A personal guide to Jamaica's golden hours — built by someone who chased every last sliver of light from the Seven Mile shoreline to the hilltops of St. Elizabeth, and came back wanting to share all of it.
The Beginning
It started with a single evening at Rick's Café — the way the crowd went completely quiet in the last thirty seconds before the sun disappeared, then erupted the moment it was gone. I had never experienced anything like it.
After that trip I spent years going back. I began tracking which hotel rooms faced west. Which catamaran operators actually timed their route to be on open water at sunset. Which hilltop bars were worth the two-hour drive. Information that simply did not exist anywhere in one place.
Sunset Jamaica Grande is that place. Every recommendation here is filtered through one question: where is the best place to be at golden hour? Not the most popular place. Not the most Instagrammed. The most beautiful.
What We Stand For
Sunset-First Editorial
Every resort, cruise, and excursion on this site was chosen for one reason — how good the light is at 6pm. Ratings from sunset-agnostic review sites don't apply here.
Personal Knowledge Only
No aggregated reviews. No AI summaries of TripAdvisor data. If it's on this site, someone has stood there and watched the sun go down with their own eyes.
Honest Recommendations
Some links on this site earn a commission when you book. That never changes what gets recommended. Mediocre sunsets don't make the cut, regardless of affiliate rates.
